U7 Wasps match reportBy Paul Mannion
U7 Wasps came away from their 2nd Game of the season sharing the points with a very impressive 'Alfreton Town All Stars' side after a thrilling draw.
Despite only having a squad of 6, and coping with a few knocks, the lads showed amazing spirit and commitment.
A very tight 1st half saw the teams tied at the break. Some good saves from Jacob Johnson and an impressive debut by Jack Lovatt in defence kept Alfreton at bay, with Wasps' goal coming from a fine left footed strike from Ben Longley.
The 2nd half commenced with Jamie Mannion in the nets, Wasps were slow out of the blocks and soon trailed.
What followed was a stunning turn around in the final 15 mins with Harry Sellers , Harry Johnson and Ben Longley leading the Wasps to an astonishing come back. A number of goals between them, without conceding any more, to earn a well deserved point.
A great team effort by all involved and another great day out for the boys. After amazing team work to secure the draw, it's tricky to pick an individual man of the match so this week it goes to the whole Team. Well done everybody and thanks again to Ryan & Mark for all their work.
