U8 Hornets v Duffield Dynamos Dynamites

After a good warm up session the game started with the Aztecs on the front foot putting Duffield under constant pressure, it wasn’t long until Hayden Evans tucked away the first of the match with his left foot. All the boys worked as a team unit with every one playing a part in the lead up to Joe Webster's cool finish past the Duffields keeper. The Dynamos started to play some really good football and were rewarded with a goal with a well taken powerful shot. From then on the Aztecs took control with Ben Longley and Andrew Flux commanding at the back and Sydney Robinson unbeatable between the sticks. Every Aztec attack was thrilling with Joe Webster adding 2 more clinical finishes and Ben Longley firing home a thunderbolt.

The game saw the introduction of Ralfe Dodes, Harry Johnson and Archie Jones who hunted down the Duffield defence at every opportunity and testing the goalkeeper with numerous shots. The team stayed strong right to the end with Joe Webster converting from a tight angle. This was a great performance from all the Aztecs, everyone really put in 110% effort into this friendly and we can’t wait to see them in their delayed return to the league.
