U10’s Lions v Codnor Boys Athletico

Lions started their second match of the season with great counter attacking from Ackers, Weston and Young. Pegg came on to score within minutes from a superb pass made by Patterson. After half time,Plant, Jennings and Grocott in defence were making some excellent tackles to hold Codnor off. Grocott pushed forward passing to Patterson to set Weston up with his first goal of the season. Codnor pushed hard testing Critchlow only for the opposition to pull two back. Then the Lions turned up the heat with excellent passing, pushing forward with a goal from Patterson then Ackers securing his first hat trick of the season. Outstanding passing of the ball meant the Lions utilised the space for a great second half.
